Every Day in May: 1st May

This is my first proper attempt at carved stamps for the Every Day in May challenge. I will be posting something new each day and these are the first! I used Gennine's excellent tutorial which I have posted about before and it is addictively good fun. As Gennine suggested, I used erasers as they are cheap (about 90 cents each in the supermarket) and very easy to carve. The lino cutting tools were purchased at Eckersleys for about $11. So here's an average looking apple, flower and tree. Wheeee!

  1. Ow you are so good to do something creative a day in May! I am very envious! I have to write my thesis this month but I will join in late in the year! Happy creating! Can't wait to see what you do!

  2. Hi Kate,
I just visited your blog (thanks for commenting on mine). It's beautiful! Good on you for doing the May challenge. I think I would feel a bit too pressured If I tried it, but will instead try to think of something creative every day in May...like, fish with scales made of stardust, which is why they are so shiny. There. That was today's! Jackie
