I love, love this planter. It fools me into thinking it might be easy to make, but I suspect it won't be. Either way, delightfully elegant answer to getting ugly pots off the floor.

Indoor Plant Life
Adore these plant shots. Wanting to head back to a nursery this weekend to get some more for our house - I'm obsessed.

Such a happy-making image. Plants on plants on plants. Yes please!

Flora Grubb
My lovely friend CT came and stayed with us recently and gave us a very extravagant gift certificate to Flora Grubb. I'm thinking of this gorgeous hexagonal 'planter' for an air plant - I think it may look stunning on our coffee table. Thank you, CT!

Beautiful glass terrariums
Aren't these magnificent? I mean, they're almost (almost!) too pretty to put plants in. The diamond one is especially awesome. The angles and shapes coupled with the white on black are very thrilling.

Golden Mantle
That fiddle fig tree is wonderful. I love the green and the gold and white combination in this living room - very clean, crisp and modern. Just delicious.

Hanging Plants
I don't have any hooks in my ceiling, but gosh, these and these are so much fun. They'd look great if I could reach my ceilings (which I can't!) and would make sad corners so much happier. To hooks! And plants!

Garden cabinet
This is the sweetest idea - a greenhouse cabinet on a balcony. Makes me make to have one in my lounge room - just so lovely and soothing to look at.

Portland Rose Garden
Well I'm back in SF. In fact, today is my first day of work, so wish me luck please!
I wanted to share a few pictures from the road trip we just did up the Californian coast up to Portland - such a spectacular trip. These photos are from the Portland Rose Garden - can I just say ohmygoodness? Such a gorgeous, sunny day and the smell of these roses was extraordinary, I took far too many pictures to post here, but here are a few of my favourites. Please visit this garden if you're ever in Portland - it's so, so worth it.

Ooh, a bench of plants!
Whoops - a few days went by there - turns out this moving country thing is pretty time-consuming. I'm stuck in a visa limbo at present which is stressful and a bit discombobulating, but hopefully I'll have resolution soon. In the meantime, this bench of plants is making me pretty happy.

Plants in Japan
I was so enamoured with all the plants in pots outside hundreds of houses and shops in Japan. Small collections of pretty gardens, perched on the edge of window sills and footpaths, clump together to form tiny landscapes of green. Just perfect.

Playing with Ikebana
After a recent flower arranging course, I've decided to give flowers more time. In Japan, I managed to track down some Kenzan and have been having fun picking flowers on morning walks and arranging them in mini vases. These are a couple of recent favourites,

Hanging terrariums
There is no end of my interest in the combination of plants and glass. And these are so, so great.

Kyoto Garden
Well Internet - turns out I snuck away to Japan for a week with my Mum and my sister Em and am only just back. I thought I'd show you some of my photos over the coming weeks - we had such a wonderful time and even though I've hit the ground running at work again, I have so many happy memories sustaining me.
This is the most beautiful garden shop/florist I've perhaps ever been to in Kyoto - simple, green and gorgeous. I can close my eyes and be back there in an instant...

Succulents in houses
There is nothing wrong with this picture. In fact, there's a lot of right. Look how adorable.

Flower inspiration
I have recently decided to get into flower arranging. I went to a class with a friend, and it was very beginner level, but I adored it! I've been looking at this image a lot, feeling very inspired about what can be done. I love the movement in this - it looks like it's windswept and frozen.

Perfect Plants
The table! The floorboards! Cacti! Glass containers! This is pretty outrageously wonderful.

Kitchen Herb Garden
As someone who struggles to grow herbs successfully, this porcelain spaceship looks like it would help a lot. And it looks kind of fabulous, too.
