Reading nook

Love the yellow table and the elephant here. Oh okay, and the gallery wall layout. And the minted water, you say? Fine. Throw that in, too.

Hot Air Balloons

Oh balloons. How do you do? If it weren't for a vague fear of heights and a more certain fear of fire, I would get into one.

Office Space Pretties

Yes, I know. I'm not an artist. Or a stylist or in any creative industry. But what I wouldn't give for an arty office like this one. I'm sure the tech company I work at would get behind this, right?!

Big, perfect window

Not much else to say here, other than 'wow'. Just plain old wow. And, um, also, could I have that window, please?

Black and white goodness.

Meow indeed. I love the contrast of the tiger and the print of the moon. Angry with adorable.

Adorable bedroom

I love that this is such an interesting room - the shapes, the colours, the prints - amazing.

DIY Pendant Light

Just love this pendant light. Everything about it looks delightful. (And the print is pretty gorgeous, too).

Homey prints

The only thing better than a big red apple is, wait - this is amazing! What a pear! (That was for you, AG).

Dreamy converted barn

Love this converted barn - so many of these seem to be impractical, but this one is light, bright and looks so liveable.

Plants Plants Plants

In exciting news, we've found a new apartment to rent! Promise to show pictures soon, but I'm so relieved: the house hunting was getting me down and now I get to day dream about how to decorate it. One thing I would like is plants. Lots of plants. And hopefully, I will not kill them.

Sleepy nook

This sleepy nook is another favourite nook of mine. There's something about the angles and the linen that look so comforting.

1 year anniversary present

Well, he's done it again. The Pal gave me this incredible sculpture for our 1st wedding anniversary (I know - it's been a year!) and I adore it. The backstory is that we saw it a long time ago in a local cafe and I loved it back then. Of course when we went back, it was sold, and I lost hope that it might be ours. Lo and behold on our anniversary, The Pal gave it to me. And of course - the first anniversary is paper. Yep, I know. He's amazing.

The Art Of Dominique Falla

This post pointed me to the work of Dominique Falla, and you guys, I am a wee bit obsessed.  This above work is extraordinary and I can't stop looking at it. Need to buy me some cotton and some nails...

Arielle de Pinto

What a necklace. Just thought you should all share in its prettiness. Happy Friday!

Swatch This Space

Am trying to store up ideas of fun and renter-friendly designs as we plan to move in the coming weeks/months. This beautiful paint swatch wall jumped out at me: just stunning. Will be keeping this one on the mental clipboard :)

Zig Zag Tray

Well isn't this little tray a beauty? Looks delightfully organised. I'm back in Sydney this week after sneaking out last week for a surprise trip for the Pal's birthday. I'll upload photos soon...

Organising Madness

I spent much of this past weekend (in between lunch with family for Fathers' Day and catching up with friends) in an organising, spring cleaning frenzy. The lounge room has been turned around and the Pal and I feel like we're living in a brand new home. Boxes of old books are on their way to the op-shop, shelves have been dusted and the housie feels like it's wearing a new pair of shoes. Or whatever. Will show pics soon. For now - enjoying this colourful space and its simple lines.

Best. House. Ever.

You may have seen this gorgeous home on an episode of Grand Designs - it has to be my favourite house ever on that show. Designed by Kathryn Tyler, it is the most perfect, Scandinavian modern house. Unlike many that feature on that show, it is practical, humble and just perfectly thought out. Bravo Kathryn! (You can see some highlights of the building process here).
