Autumn Swap Package

Yesterday I received my gorgeous Autumn Swap parcel from the lovely Danielle. I'm so lucky - this year and last I have received such generous and thoughtful gifts. I've used her photography here, too, as it's just too lovely (and I couldn't take the photos nearly as well!)

So I am now the proud owner of so many lovely goodies. Thanks Danielle - so very kind of you!
I'd encourage everyone to participate in swaps: it's such a lovely way to get to make new friends and to think up creative gifts. Wheee!

Autumn Swap

Last year I participated in Sofia's Autumn Swap and this year, I'm really excited to do the same. The idea is that you make a parcel for your swap partner filled with comforting treats, and I had such fun putting it all together!

I'm posting mine off soon, as it has to wing its way to the Northern Hemisphere, but here's a sneak peek: I packaged it all up in my swap partner's favourite colours - I hope she likes it!

MCA Zine Fair

I bought these delicious robot stickers from Shelbyville. Aren't they the best?

I had a delightful day at the MCA Zine Fair on Sunday. I also managed to sneak in a look at the Yayoi Kusama exhibition which was extraordinary - I highly recommend a look-see if you're nearby.

It all served as delicious inspiration for a zine of my own which has been kicking around in my head for a while. I'll keep you posted!

Autumn Swap

I am taking part in Sofia's Autumn Swap and very excitingly am sending off my package today to a lucky person far away. (We can't reveal our swap members yet!) The idea of the pack is to inspire comfort over Autumn (or Spring, if you're in the Southern Hemisphere, like me). I have obsessively read my swap partner's blog to see what she likes, and have come up with this list. My partner loves art and making things, so I have tried to cater the pack to that.

It contains:
-The latest issue of Inside Out, to showcase some lovely Australian design.
-Some hot chocolate sachets, to warm up an Autumn evening.
-Some stickers for artwork.
-A pair of earrings I made to cheer up the cool breeze.
-A scrapbooking pack for artwork, too.
-A pack of stamps from around the world.
-Some badges to brighten things up in general.
-Some Paris-themed scrapbook papers.
-Some stationery.

There are also a lot more surprises I've hidden from the photo, just in case my partner sees this!
I can't wait for mine to arrive, now!
