Repetition Repetition

Really loved the repetition of black and white images here - such a lovely take on the more traditional gallery wall. Also, happy birthday to my littlest sister, B, today! Love you big xx

Geometric Wallpaper

Usually I like wallpaper for a few moments - and often think I'd have buyers' remorse if I ever decided on a pattern. Until I saw this pattern. I think I could look at it forever.

Flying Baby

The Flying Baby series is too wonderful to miss: it made me giggle and gasp at the same time. Enjoy!

Plants Plants Plants

In exciting news, we've found a new apartment to rent! Promise to show pictures soon, but I'm so relieved: the house hunting was getting me down and now I get to day dream about how to decorate it. One thing I would like is plants. Lots of plants. And hopefully, I will not kill them.
Images here and here.

Triangles

It's obviously a triangle-y week, but this coloured cushion (ahem - sensing a theme?!) and the poster are just fantastic. I know these pictures are for a children's room, but I think the bold graphics could work anywhere.

Autumn leaves

Ah such a pretty spectrum. It's definitely beginning to feel like Spring in Sydney - hoping for increasing warmth, please!

Gallery Wall

I've been a fan of Hilda Granhat's photography for a long time, and always come back to this one. The light, the colours, that globe. Lovely.

Lavender at home

Picked some lavender from my grandparents' garden the other day and it's been brightening up a little shelf in our house. Such pretty flowers and they seem to be lasting for ages, which is an unexpected bonus.

Seoul Photos I

Some vintage ceramics sold at markets in Insadong
I was lucky enough to head to Seoul for a week last month and am only finally getting around to posting some phone photos now. It was a wonderful trip: such a bustling and diverse city - I loved it even more than I thought I would. I'll post more as I cull through them all.

Display case love

More and more I find myself drawn to little shelves and nooks in which to display things. Just like these ones: the very Scandinavian aesthetic is delicious.

Peaceful vista

Abbey often has a 'daily dose of green' - and this one made me feel peaceful on a Wednesday. Happy hump day!

Work Space

This photograph makes me so happy. The light fitting, the persian rug, the dog in the basket and the gallery wall. Glorious!

Le Flaneur

Le Flâneur (music by The XX) from Luke Shepard on Vimeo.

This makes me so nostalgic for Paris. The Sacre Coeur, the Notre Dame, the Seine - take me back! Please!

The Art Project

Internet, have you seen what you can do, lately? Have a look at this incredible new project for art lovers (and tech geeks, too, I suppose). You can, from the luxury of your desktop, stroll through 17 of the major galleries of the world. And on some paintings, even zoom up close to see unbelieveable detail. Check it out here: be warned, it's a time sink!

Keith Loutit: Bathtub IV

This video is by Keith Loutit and is an example of time-lapse, tilt-shift photography: all those little miniature-looking people are real people! Just love it (And the very hum-able song is by the fabulous Megan Washington).

Unhappy Hipsters

Ali put me on to this most excellent blog - they give captions to uber-trendy house pictures. And I love it. (I also love a lot of the homes featured - call me perverse!)

Statue of Liberty: Like You've Never Seen Her Before!

Mind-blowing. The Retronaut's done it again! What an extraordinary image - love the bowler hats in the foreground, too.

An Elegant, Modern House

Isn't this apartment so bright and airy? While scrolling through these images, I thought two things simultaneously, "I need more display nooks" and "It's pretty lame to think about things like needing more display nooks." Anyhoo. Displaying things in nooks, whether you'd like to make that a life priority, does look pretty cool.
