Cups ahoy!
Oh wow. That's all really. Just wow. (Also, can you guess this person works for Martha Stewart?!)

Snorkelling Photos from Fiji
When we were on our honeymoon, we met some lovely people who since shared their underwater photos with us. This is exactly what we saw in Fiji - isn't it just wonderful?

Dreamy bedroom
It could be that it's because this is a long week, but this layering of greys, and comfy looking bed makes me sleepy and happy all at once. Very Princess and the Pea, n'est-ce pas?!

2011 Diary
After having most excellent diaries for 2009 and 2010, the race is on to find a new one for 2011. Yes, I like to hunt in November - what of it?! The one above is pretty gorgeous, with a lovely hot air balloon. But the one below is in front by a whisker - who could resist the mantra "Don't you worry about a thing"? Not me!!

Celosias
I bought these little coloured plants on the weekend and potted them up. Does anyone know what they actually are?! I was so overcome with exclamations when I saw them ("Little trees! Different colours!" etc and replay) that I forgot to ask... I hope I don't kill them - this is always a risk in my house. [EDITED TO SAY: They are Celosias! Thanks Cassi - how cool are my readers?!]

Christmas Yummies
This photo made me want to drop everything and make pavlovas. I'd love to emulate this for Christmas. Mmm. Pavlova + berries = surefire happiness.

Newtown Wanderings
So I almost bought this bureau on Saturday. I had wandered into one of my favourite furniture places, and saw this little beauty - it was labelled Danish 1960s, but I couldn't really verify if that was the case. My dream is to have a bureau like this to contain all my crafty bits and pieces - it could even be a gift wrapping station with the table pulled down.
It was pretty cute, but I ended up shying away from it: really need to do some more research, as this was priced at $1100, and I couldn't tell if that was a steal or a travesty! Keep an eye out for me, will you, blogland, and let me know if you see one similar?

Open Shelves: #345
Yes, I'm back - with a post on open shelves, no less! It's been a busy few weeks settling back in after the wedding and honeymoon. Blissful, but very, very busy. The strong blacks and whites look fabulous against this tree-green, don't they? The pastels below are pretty wonderful, too. Happy week, blogland!

Jonathan Safran Foer's Tree of Codes
Jonathan Safran Foer is one of my favourite authors - I wrote on his second novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close for my PhD, and adore his writing. So it's been with great excitement that I've seen his new novel, Tree of Codes, released. Doesn't it look amazing? (And thanks to the many friends who forwarded me this news!)

Honeymooned and Married and Back to Blogland!
Yes, a few, sneaky pre-posts while I was gone, and now I'm back after the most wonderful wedding and honeymoon I could hope for. Just a whirlwind of happiness, friends, romance and love - what an experience!
I'm slowing coming back to earth, and might be slow to get posts moving again, but will share with you some of our photos over the coming weeks.
(Oh, this photo is the view from our beach hut - biggest decision of the day was which beach chair or hammock to choose!)

Keith Loutit: Bathtub IV
This video is by Keith Loutit and is an example of time-lapse, tilt-shift photography: all those little miniature-looking people are real people! Just love it (And the very hum-able song is by the fabulous Megan Washington).

Roman and Williams
Roman and Williams is an incredible New York-based interior design firm: these shots had me drooling. Love the tough, masculine and dirty feel of these rooms: and how they're paired with soft furnishings like rugs and couches.
