Sneak Peek: Quilt in Progress

This is another sneak peek of a quilt I'm working on for a friend's birthday. I've so enjoyed working on this one - the fabrics are (to me) the perfect mix of whimsy and fun, with the lace adding some texture and depth. I used this most excellent tutorial, but substituted interfacing for freezer paper, which I can rip off. This has been a bit of a revelation - so even and neat for me!

  3. Why thank you! We'll see how it goes. I think my own grit determination makes me finish things, hell or high water. But we'll see...!

  4. Your quilt discipline is very admirable. I am intrigued by the use of freezer paper, especially its ability to not get stuck in stitching.

  5. Great fabric and colours. Love the elephants. I have yet to attempt quilting but you make it look easy. It's going to be amazing. Your friend is lucky!
