I just can't go past a good nook. I try and then, nope. Can't get past them. And the French bin? So adorable.

Minimalist Parisian Apartment
These incredible Paris apartment pictures make me want to get rid of my possessions, buy the odd green chair and fly to France. Except those empty bookcases need books in them: I don't care how minimalist you are!

The Cutest French Storyteller You Have Ever Seen
HOLD EVERYTHING.
I need to stop what I'm doing RIGHT NOW, go to France, conceive a child, wait about three years, cut her hair into a cute bob and then record her telling stories like this one.
In a non-creepy way, you understand.
Edited to say: I think one of the cutest bits is the face she makes at 1:51. Ok, and the rest of it.

Foux de Fa Fa
This deliciously Frenchy poster has been making the internet rounds lately. It makes me think about one of my favourite Flight of the Conchords songs: "Bonjour mon petit bureau de change" is surely one of the best lines ever written.

Guillaumit
French artist Guillaumit has such a distinctive style - I adore this print above - the colours and whimsy are fantastic!
He also makes t shirts such as the one above and below, which I love for its Mondrian + Monsters aesthetic.
Guillaumit has also recently released a book called 'ABC des Verbes', a nice spin on the current Alphabet books and posters that seem to be making the web rounds.

Mathieu Challières
These bird lamps from Mathieu Challières in France caught my eye. They remind me of the Anne Wood birds so popular on wedding cakes and blogs at the moment - so delicate and pretty.
I also think these lamps would look amazing by night: the little birds would surely cast dancing shadows on the wall, illuminated by the bright, centre light. Jolie, n'est-ce pas?

Melbourne Home
This beautiful home was featured in the Design Files - isn't it perfect?
I love the mix of cute prints with modern furniture and industrial chic.
And the Frenchy influence of the prints! Delightful!
Have a lovely weekend! I am planning to catch up on a lot of sleep, fill some etsy custom orders and see some friends. And I might sneak some crafty-times in for myself, too!

Paper for Chanel
I don't normally post on 'haute' fashion, but the Spring/Summer 2009 Chanel show has a magnificent paper backdrop which is just awe-inspiring.via The Design Files

Perfection
I think I would look like Bjorn Borg if I wore a headband like this. But doesn't Betty just look perfect? And she's French. Hurumph.
By the way, if you're reading this in a feed, have a look at my new Amazon Associates bar on the right. It has lots of my favourite things to look at. Tra la la!

Rubber Stamps Ahoy!
These stamps remind me of the coffee break stamps I bought while overseas. How many stamps would you call too many?

Delphine Durand
I was lucky enough to find Delphine Durand from Tiny Candy, and I'm overwhelmed by just how cute and grumpy her little monsters and people are.

Happy "Hump Day" Wednesday
Tiny Candy is doing my head in! I have been going through their archives (a little bit obsessively, I admit) and couldn't resist posting this beautiful image from Japanese artist Jun Ichihara. One of my favourite things is when Japanese and French influences combine, and this time, they combine with Saarinen, which is incredible!

Bits and Bobs in Paris
Honestly, sometimes I feel like the internet is just plain mean. Tiny Candy has posted an excellent list of fabulous places to visit in Paris, including great paper and curiosity shops. Check out these vintage goodies!
The images all remind me of trinkets and things that I'd love to have in a coffee table, but in little boxes, and covered in glass. Much like these images below. (Minus the naked girl match book, thanks!)

Pandora's Box
Images from Pandora
It's finally happened. I have e-met possibly the coolest girl in France and am all a-flutter. Louise of Pandora has just started a blog, and I can't wait to see her outfits, and eloquent musings on art and the like.
How dare she look so incredible! I finally know who Soko must be talking about: "She stole my future and she broke my dreams, I'll keel 'er. I'll keel 'er!"
Ahem, joking of course, but keep an eye out for Louise - isn't she lovely?
