The lovely Alice pointed me towards these incredible photos of 1940s London in colour. I can't get over how exciting and bustling it looks post-war - I had always imagined it as much less busy and more 'drab'. Thanks Ali!
This is just magnificent - I love it Kate and thank you so much for posting it. My dad was a teenager in London through the war and moved to Australia with his family when he was 15 in 1948, so he would have been there at the time of these photos. It gives me chills just thinking about it. My dad passed away 12 and a half years ago now... so many questions I didn't ask him. Thanks again for a lovely post. Kx
