The lovely Kim at
Desire to Inspire has struck again! These card catalogs/catalogues are so beautiful.

The Pal and I found a card catalogue earlier in the year for auction. It was really old and needed a lot of work - and we decided it wasn't for us.

But every now and then I get a bit wistful and think about it. In the meantime, enjoy these!
I am OBSESSED with finding a card catalogue!!! I don't think it's anything I'll ever happen upon in a thrift store and may end up having to get one in an antique store for a special birthday or something. Thanks for posting such lovely pics, sigh...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - I would love a card catalogue, too! I like the idea of pretending a corner of your house is a school library.

My Dad has a beautiful old one ... hidden under the STAIRS! It drives me insane every time I visit. One of these days I am going to sneak it out of the house while he's sleeping. xx
ReplyDeleteI looooooooove card catalogues. they remind me of school (i am a big nerd). :)
ReplyDeleteHey, you made it through May! Go, you!
Ah ha - it seems I have touched a nerve! I think it's the nerd-chic that appeals to me, too. And the desire to organise in little boxes. Swoon :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I want one! I would also like a haberdashers cabinet, you know the type with glass fronted drawers so you can see all the little nic naks inside? Still waiting for one to find me.
