Animal Beat Box
I was lucky enough to get along to TropFest on Sunday night and loved this winning film (as well as spotting some famous people - hello Olivia Newton John, how are you today?!)
Thought you might enjoy this as much - the rest of the finalists are all up on YouTube, too.

Endorsements Feb 2011
Another bookclub, another round of excellent endorsements. This week they range from the foodie to the uber nerdy to the oldie-but-a-goodie category. Hopefully something for everyone.
Silo bakery in Canberra.
This excellent repository of podcasts: a particular recommendation is 'Justice' by Michael Sandell.
Stephen Fry's performance in a debate about religion.
BBC's Pride and Prejudice (and a follow-up, hijack recommendation from me, Lost in Austen).
Posh Nosh and another foodie one, Recipe Rifle.
David Sedaris in general, especially When You Are Engulfed in Flames.
The film, True Grit.
Level 2 of the Customs House library in Sydney.
The new BBC miniseries Luther: a genre-bending procedural starring Idris Elba.
Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde.
A course on history and populations.

I Love Lamp
I've been thinking that a floor lamp would look nice near our couch. I love these old looking ones, but lament the amount of floor space they take up. Any ideas for good alternatives?

What if 'Up' was made in 1960?
Well this is just plain adorable. I do love the film 'Up' so much, and this is wonderful. Enjoy! (Especially you, Ali!)
